Word Editing Documents

Duration: 3 Hours

Who should attend:

This course is our entry level Word course. It is designed to teach you how to update information in Word Documents that others have created. It is suitable for anyone new to Word or who wants to bring their fundamental skills up to scratch.

This course teaches you how to open and save documents, how to change your views of a document t to see how it looks in printed view, and how to navigate through a document. You will learn how to use Cut, Copy and Paste as well as finding information within a document and replacing it with other information. You will also learn the basics of formatting your document. Finally you will learn to use the key proofing tools within a document including the spell checker.

Pre-requisites:

Delegates should be familiar with working in Windows. No knowledge of Microsoft Word is assumed.

This course is designed for Word users who want to take their document editing to the next level. It teaches common timesavers and formatting techniques that will ensure documents are laid out correctly with consistent look and feel.

On this course you will learn how to manage your paragraph look and feel including bulleted and numbered lists. You will learn how to troubleshoot when lists go wrong. You will also learn how to add images effectively to a word document, managing how they work alongside the text. You will learn how to layout a document with effective margins and headers and footers. Finally you will learn how to implement a template and manage the styles within a document template.

Word Collaborative Working

Duration: 3 Hours

Who should attend:

This course is designed for users who work closely on documents with other colleagues where it is important to control the editing that each user has done on the document and maybe secure certain areas so they cannot be changed.

This course teaches you how to implement the Track Changes feature and use this to approve or deny changes made by other users of the document. It also teaches you how to use the version control feature to revert back to a previous version of the document. You will also learn how to create forms from Word documents. Fuinally you will learn how to secure a document to prevent parts from being changed.
